Review Lego Star Wars 2010: Clone Turbo Tank September 8098
2010 Wave 2 Star Wars Lego sets are coming in August. The wave includes five models and establish 8098, Clone Turbo Tank is the largest with 1139 pieces. This is the second incarnation of Lego Republic A6 Juggernaut military tank with the initial release in 2005 to coincide with the release of Star Wars Episode Three Revenge of the Sith.
At that time came with the rare figure of Mace Windu, but this current version gives us two minifigures first release of the television series Clone Wars, Cad Bane and Aalya Secura.
The Clone Wars Turbo Tank was featured on season two Clone Wars series television premiere, The Heist Holcron, and the game comes with six figures which allow to recreate much of the action in that episode. Apart from Cad Bane minifigures and Secura Aalya that of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and two clone troopers complete the picture.
The construction is quite technical at home and while not very attractive, it serves to make the model robust design and a fun game, 10 wheels with size a rarity in the Star Wars universe where most cars tend to fly or levitate. The tank can be carried by one of the centerpieces technique that protrude from the top, like the AT-AT set from 2008, and never feels in danger of falling apart. Lego has improved in the first release in a number of areas, including wheels that are more accurate this time.
Priced at $ 119 U.S. the set also comes with a small AT-RT Walker that can fold and fit into the chassis of the tank. Although pretty basic that allows a figure to sit on the seat assigned and walk around. Overall Lego have done a great job to bring back this popular after 2005, the first demanding high prices in the secondary market. Figures extra, should make it very attractive for the fans.
